This is a piece that I made in second year of college. It was inspired by an image of a staircase with the prompt of "failure"and "falling" It made me think about how we often see growing old as something bad and if you dont live up to expectatons, your'e seen as a failure.  Also about how you can be seen as "falling" into your old age and can get somewhat stuck in your ways.

I thought I would incorporate this concept into an image of a staircase and create both an older and a younger image of myself using makeup and photoshop them both together.

Your older self is able to look at your younger self through memories, while your yourger self cant look at whats going to happen in the future. 

This piece is about regret and sorrow but it is also about hope and opportunity.
